Entering the clued answers normally in the grid led to BEBOPBOP at 5dn,
which could only be decoded as NONSENSE.
Similar deductions enabled the rest of the cipher to be determined,
so the normally clued answers could be enciphered
and the entries for invisible clues deciphered.
